Pupils at Hurdsfield Primary and Nursery School are walking tall following an event to celebrate the launch of their new school uniform.

The new look will be introduced at the start of the new school year in September and includes smart blazers for the senior students, shirts, ties and stylish red jumpers for everyone, teamed with navy trousers and skirts. Nursery children will also have a new sweatshirt.

Head teacher James Cash is the driving force behind the changes:

“I am delighted with the new uniform and happy to say that both the children and their parents are very excited about switching to a much smarter look. School uniform plays such an important part in how the children feel about themselves and their school. It gives them a real sense of pride, helps to develop individual self-esteem and also build on the fantastic team spirit throughout the school. There is also plenty of evidence to show that school uniform has a positive impact on behaviour and performance.

“We have rebranded the school over the last year with our new logo and this is all part of our commitment to raising standards on every level giving our children the best possible experience during their time at Hurdsfield Primary School.”

The new uniform has been created and supplied by Trutex Schoolwear shop in Macclesfield who said:

“The new uniform is a real head turner and we are delighted to be involved. The school was keen to tighten up their uniform policy and introduce something that little bit different. Quality, as always, with school uniform is paramount as it has to survive the rigors of school life but there are lots of options available to make your school stand out from the crowd.”
