Do you offer any ‘Back To School’ discounts?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount off school uniform during July. This will be applied at the till when you visit the shop or you can use the code JULY21 when you check out if you are shopping online.

Can I book an appointment?

If your child is starting at a new high school in September we offer appointments throughout July and the early part of August (Late August will be walk-ins/online only). Dates are released on a rolling basis and there will be some Sunday appointments available at the end of July and beginning of August if you particularly require a ‘quieter’ time. You do not need an appointment for primary school uniform. To book a slot please click here

Am I allowed to just walk into the shop?

Yes, you can. We’ll be delighted to help and of course we welcome your children too. As we get very busy during August we will be limiting numbers in the shop at any one time and we courteously request that you keep your group size to a minimum.

How does Click & Collect work?

This is the best way to shop, particularly if you know your sizes. We generally complete orders within 24 hrs and we will send you an email when your order is ready for collection. When you arrive at the shop you can skip any queues as your order will be waiting for you.

Can I try uniform on?

We no longer have changing rooms available due to changes in the shop layout that have needed to be made due to the pandemic. However, we do have sizing samples of most items available for you to view and you will be able to try on your blazer. This system worked really well last year.

Do I have to order uniform in advance?

There’s no need to order in advance as we are now fully stocked with uniform for all the schools we serve. You should be able to get everything you need right away. (Please bear in mind that if you leave it right to the last minute there may be some sizes unnavailable until restock arrives).

What are your opening times during ‘Back to School’?

9am – 5pm on weekdays.
9.30am -5pm on Saturdays.
10am till 3pm on Sunday 18th and 25th July, Sundays during August and Sunday 5th September

I don’t know exactly what I need for my new school, what should I do?

Don’t worry, we can advise in great detail about all the uniform requirements for the schools we stock. One of our friendly assistants will advise you of the compulsory and optional items available for your school so you can make an informed choice about what you require.

How sustainable is your school uniform?

Thank you for asking, this is one of our favourite topics. We work with ethical suppliers and source sustainable products wherever we can. This means that many of the garments you buy, including blazers, will be  made from recycled plastic bottles, dramatically reducing landfill by millions of bottles each year. The quality of our garments is excellent and this is also a key factor in reducing waste as they will stand the test of time, meaning you won’t have to replace them as often as with cheaper, poorer quality alternatives.

Has the global shipping situation affected your levels of stock?

Thankfully we ordered very early and took deliveries very early so we received our stock before the shipping crisis deepened.

What measures are in place for Covid safety?

Whilst measures seem to have relaxed a little in some shops, we are keen to maintain high levels of covid safety for both our customers and staff. Our staff serve and work behind screens, there is hand sanitizer at the door for customers, and staff use it regularly. We have an enhanced cleaning regine to ensure high touch spots are regularly cleaned. We expect all customers except children under 11 to wear a mask unless exempt. Our blazer samples are regularly sprayed with clothing disinfectant. We will be controlling the number of people in the shop at any one time during peak times.

How much are delivery charges?

If you would like us to despatch your order there is a set charge of £4.99. If your order is received before 5pm it will be taken to the My Hermes shop on the same day. Please allow 2-5 working days for delivery.

Do you have stock for my school?

We supply most schools in Macclesfield plus schools in Buxton, Poynton, Nether Alderley and other surrounding villages. Click FIND MY SCHOOL

How do I get in touch with you?

We do endeavour to answer the phone as quickly as we can but it can be hectic during peak times. The best way to get a rapid response is to email louise@classworx.co.uk with your query. You can also message us via our facebook page.

When is the best time to buy my uniform?

We encourage people to shop early with our 10% discount in July. School uniform is made to last throughout the next school year so there’s no need to worry about them outgrowing it before they start, we are used to helping people find the right size with acceptable room for growth. You are also protected by our returns policy, if you shop early and decided at the end of August that something wasn’t big enough we will happily exchange it.

What is your returns policy?

Our standard returns period is 28 days, during which time you are entitled to return or exchange your purchases. We require a proof of purchase, tags left on the merchandise and obviously it must be in unused, new condition. As mentioned previously, during the Back To School period, we will of course take exchanges and returns before school re-starts in September.

Where is the shop?

We are on King Edward Road at the Sainsburys end of town just off the roundabout, opposite the old Kings School site. You’ll see us next to Sue Ryder. Our post code is SK10 1AP.

Where can I park?

There are seven parking spaces immediately outside the shop where you can park for 2hrs free of charge. If these are full you can park behind the shop in Whalley Range Pay & Display car park. Please be aware that if you park illegally, particularly in the turning circle opposite the shop, there are regular patrols by the traffic wardens and you risk getting a ticket.

How do I know my child’s sizes?

There is information on our website about how to measure your child and many of the individual products have links to sizing guides and have age guides. If you are unsure please call in with your child and we will be able to help you.

Are you menbers of any Trade Associations?

Classworx is a member of the Schoolwear Association which provides important guidance and a Code of Practice for our industry.
